Women in IT
In my web travels today, I discovered a rather perturbing fact. It seems that there is a growing trend where women leaving tech jobs in droves. I was originally alerted to the fact by this blog article that talks about the one women's decision to leave IT.
At first I left a comment on her site ... but the more I thought about it, the louder that internal ranter's voice of dissension became in me. So, I thought to myself, what are you going to do about it?
Well, to be honest ... I don't know ... I mean I could go on one of my (in)famous tirades ... but that's not going to make anything better.
Instead, for now, I'm going to list out sites that may be useful to the fairer sex (no disrespect intended) to find support, networking opportunities, mentoring and general assistance from like minded and successful women.
